Creamy Garlic Alfredo Sauce
This Alfredo sauce is one of the first recipes I made, when I first moved out from home. My partner at the time loved pasta, so we had it often. I've always had a preference for tomato-based sauces, but I'm glad I learned to make this one. The cream cheese adds a richness and tangy flavour to the dish, which I find better than just using heavy cream.

Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened and cut into 6 cubes
- 1 cup milk
- 1 to 1½ cups grated Parmesan
- kosher salt
- fresh ground black pepper
- ½ tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
